A RUSTIC LOG mantel is the perfect “Crowning Touch” to your river rock or stone fireplace projects. Our logs, typically Lodgepole pine, are carefully selected for soundness, color, and their character, such as burls, cat’s-eyes, interesting limb formations, fiddlebacks, etc.
OUR LOGS are painstakingly cut to achieve the desired end result. After rough cutting the mantel, the blanks are end-waxed and sent to the kiln for a slow drying process.
AFTER DRYING, the rough cut mantels are cut to the finished size, and contoured on the ends. Any sharp edges are heavily bull nosed, and the entire mantel is fine sanded before a lustrous finish is applied.
MANTEL prices run from $75.00 per foot to $175.00 per foot depending on the style and amount of “character,” i.e., no burls, lightly burled, branch stubs, heavy burls, etc.*
SUPPORTS for the mantels are optional at
$75.00 per pair. Please note that supports are
